Migration Research Project
In the years 2010 - 2016 the Nevzlin Center initiated and conducted an international research project on modern Jewish migration, aimed to renew the study of the East European Jewish diaspora, its history and social experience, through the integration of new perspectives in the field of migration studies. The project was rooted in the belief that a transnational approach could reconfigure the study of East European Jewry and its diaspora communities worldwide.
The project consisted of two stages, each stage approximately three years long. Each stage included collaborative efforts of an international research team as well as several scholarly events. and the project resulted in publication of special issues of the East European Jewish Affairs dedicated to the subject of Jewish Migrations.
